Our DCT Summer Workshop is open for enrollment! Whether your child wants to learn theatre skills, get better at auditioning, or just have fun – this camp has been a favorite with hundreds of children. It’s the perfect summer activity! And now we have made it so that younger children can also participate.
While working and playing with others at the camp, children will partake of activities structured to build self-confidence. They will learn to explore and express themselves through the theatre arts in a safe, nurturing setting at our historic theatre. But sign up today because space is limited.

- Basic Acting Techniques
- Imagination Exercises
- Diction
- Monologue
- Voice & Projection
- Movement/Mime/Musical Theatre Dance
- Exploration of Various Emotions
- Technical Instruction (make-up, props, costumes)
- Educational Tour of the Theatre
- Storytelling
- Scene Study (teens only)
IMPORTANT INFO:
- Proof of full COVID vaccination and masks will be required of all participants.
- In order to keep activities age-appropriate, children are divided into two groups. Each group has an experienced teacher and at least one assistant.
- Children in the afternoon (11-3) session should pack a snack and drink.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Any cancellation must be submitted in writing to info@dechildrenstheatre.org. A cancellation made prior to June 1 will receive a refund less $200. A cancellation made after June 1 is not eligible for any refund unless there is a verifiable emergency or other situation that will make it impossible for the child to attend the workshop, in which case the refund amount will be determined by DCT.
