DCT Summer 2024 Theatre Workshops

5-7 Age Range

Sharpen your theatre skills in this two weeklong musical theatre summer camp. During this camp your child will learn proper theatre etiquette, acting, dancing, and singing. 8-13 Age Range

Bring out your inner thespian and sharpen your theatre skills in this two weeklong musical theatre summer camp. During this camp your child will learn proper theatre etiquette, acting, dancing, and singing. Campers will be able to showcase their talent with a stage performance on the last day of camp.   • Basic Acting Techniques

  • Imagination Exercises

  • Diction

  • Monologue

  • Voice & Projection

  • Movement/Mime/Musical Theatre Dance

  • Exploration of Various Emotions

  • Technical Instruction (make-up, props, costumes)

  • Educational Tour of the Theatre

  • Storytelling

  • Scene Study (teens only)

MORE INFO: 

  • The theatre follows all CDC Covid recommendations.

  • In order to keep activities age-appropriate, children are divided into two groups. Each group has an experienced teacher and at least one assistant.

  • Children in the afternoon (11-3) session should pack a snack and drink.

CANCELLATION POLICY: 

Any cancellation must be submitted in writing to info@dechildrenstheatre.org. A cancellation made prior to June 1 will receive a refund less $200. A cancellation made after June 1 is not eligible for any refund unless there is a verifiable emergency or other situation that will make it impossible for the child to attend the workshop, in which case the refund amount will be determined by DCT.
